Jupiter Has Commenced His Scorpio Year
(October 10th, 2017- November 8th, 2018)

Shortly after Jupiter’s Scorpio ingress, golfball sized hail stones fell for minutes here in Portland, signaling the new emphasis Scorpio, sign of ice. After all, Scorpio is a “fixed water” sign, and what is more suggestive of ice then “fixed water?”

What are some other ways this planet might manifest its distinctive energy?

Jupiter’s energy is: expansive, whirling, growing, “too much”, lucky, fortunate, fattening, stormy, powerful, generous, benevolent, charitable. Just think “lots” of Scorpio energy, and “lots” of energy to Scorpio-related industries, health issues, etc. (as given below). This can be really great in some arenas, and in others, too much. For instance, a big scoop of ice cream is a dream but too much ice on your roof is dangerous!

HOW TO USE KNOWLEDGE OF JUPITER IN SCORPIO - PRACTICAL TIPS

(Note: This is by no means a complete picture of the year’s planetary influences. I’m focusing mostly on Jupiter in Scorpio because it's so important!)

Jupiter was known as one of two “Chronocrats,” or keepers of time, the other planet being Saturn. The sign Jupiter transits through is essential!

Weather: I’ve warned my clients all year to expect lots of water this fall and winter and prepare for extra floods, ice, snow hail, mudslides. Already, we've witnessed record rain! Protect your trees. If your home is vulnerable to floods, make sure you have a working pump, boots, etc.

Fixed water can also symboliz toxic water. Be on high alert for all problems with toxic water or problems caused by same (mildew, contamination, sewage etc.).

Venus will join Jupiter for most of November, increasing the wet energy. Mars joins Jupiter in late December and January. We can expect some serious record rain this year, and probably a wetter, icier or snowier winter than normal. Oil and sewage spills are of course more likely.

Combined with Aquarius-Leo polarity eclipses last August and this coming Jan. 31 and Feb. 15, be hyper vigilant for electrical grid failure, blackouts, computer issues, etc. (commonly seen with Aquarius involvement). Back your data up and prepare for these possibilities. They may not happen everywhere or at all, but electrical surges and outages are heightened within the Leo-Aquarius eclipse cycle. Note the problems now endured in Puerto Rico! These were precipitated by the first wave of eclipses in Aquarius, sign of electricity.

This year’s noteworthy business and industries:
Scorpio strongly influences many industries and their stocks and prices - here are a few, below. It's boom or bust, depending on the personal chart of the business owner and the specific industry. For some, it's “your year!”

Wineries, wine, oil, fermented foods, coffee, tea, beverages, perfumes, chemists, hospices, mortuaries, transplants, transgender issues and surgery, death and dying, banking, recycling, sewage, (watch for flood-related spills) dogs, insurance, surgery, oil (higher chance of spills), secret investigations and surveillance (hyper-increase), pharmaceuticals, taxation-related careers, CPAs, money management, some invasive species, physicians, bees, mosquitos, crustaceans, reptiles, snakes, research, chess, viagra, gynecology, medical insurance companies, oncology, abortion issues, war and legal strategy, taxes, inheritances. (It is my dim understanding that the wealthy just received a significant cut to their inheritance taxes, so we know that at least these elite are already experiencing the blessing of Jupiter’s ingress!)

Health: Scorpio rules the prostate, bladder, rectum, colon, nose, sweat glands, genitals, various bacteria, AIDS, blood and sexually-transmitted disease, insect-born disease, blood and blood plasm banks, sperm banks, epidemics. Those with health concerns in these regions should be alert for extra planetary pressure exerted on these regions at various times this next twelve months, and don’t shirk your medical appointments! Perhaps we will see some breakthrough cures for AIDS or Lyme’s. Scorpio heightens fertility - we may see a new baby boom.

We could also see breakthroughs in transplant technology and improvement in hospices and also how we handle death and dying.

Some of the above items may make the news, positively or negatively. Jupiter in Scorpio also can increase death rates from plagues and water, sex or sewage-born contamination and toxic water “blooms.”

Scorpio energy is always intense, but capable of great good, especially in the healing arts! Jupiter in Scorpio can herald in new ways to save lives, improve water quality, transplant organs, overcome Scorpio-ruled diseases etc.

Politics: I prefer to avoid comment. However, one can safely say that whatever “hung in the balances” with Jupiter in Libra, will hang no more.
