“SKY CLOCK TECHNIQUE” SURPRISED ME!

I would like to share with you a simple but powerful pet transit technique that I’ve developed throughout my practice, affectionately nicknamed the “sky clock” technique. This method determines the precise day when the expected influence of a planet’s ingress into a new sign, will most likely, fully “hatch”. This year’s result surprised even me!

Its so easy! Jupiter, Saturn, or any of the outer planets are your “hour hands” of our sky clock. The transit Sun represents your “minute hand”. The Moon of course, becomes our “second hand”, triggering off events when she* crosses these same degrees. Luna always does this within one week of the Sun’s arrival to said degree. When all three hands of the clock align, the alarm rings!

To understand this better, imagine an audience entering a theatre. Despite collective anticipation, the show does not begin at once. Normally, the act commences awhile later. It is no different with the astrological sky clock. The show begins (fully), when the transit Sun achieves a conjunction square or opposition to the same degree of newly ingressed planet, and/or the sign it entered. (Mars can also trigger the show, but the Sun is a most reliable, consistent “hour hand”.)

Now, let’s examine our sky clock bull’s eye! I’ve described to clients all year, (as have many of you), the Great Climacteric, or awaited Grand Conjunction of the two “chronocrats” Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius on December 21st, 2020. (The ancient Greek word chronocrat literally means “time rulers”, and that they are. )However, their equally important ingress into Aquarius occurs a few days earlier than their Grand Conjunction in this sign. For me, the mere entrance of these two time keepers into Aquarius so close together is the exciting thing!

Sky clock’s hour hand is ready set in mid December, 2020, and some promised Aquarian influence increases. Still, our two chronocrats must await the Sun - our cosmic clock’s minute hand, to join them! The hour hands must wait for the minute hand. When the second hand aligns (the Moon), the party begins. So, what is the precise timing for this event?

Saturn enters Aquarius for a second time this year on Wed., Dec 16th at 9:04pm Pacific Time. Jupiter closely follows Saturn into Aquarius on Saturday, December 19th at 5:07 am. Now, both chronocrats have ingressed into the first degree of Aquarius, within days of each other; an astrologically remarkable event!  The hour hands of our sky clock are here. The minute hand (Sun) will join them on January 19th. The second hand (Moon) lines up on January 20th, 2021.

To reiterate: The sky clock goes “ding!” when the Sun achieves the first degree of Aquarius on January 19th at 12:40 pm and the Moon, (Sky Clock’s second hand) enters the first degree of Taurus at her quarter on January 20th, 2021 at 10:56 am Pacific (squaring the first degree of Aquarius).

This is inauguration day for the US President elect! The influence of the Great Climacteric in Aquarius will of this day begun in full force. Furthermore, between late January through mid-February we experience a true “stellium” when Saturn, Jupiter, Sun, Mercury and Venus are all in Aquarius together!

This enhanced Aquarius influence is already percolating strongly throughout world affairs. The “Year of Aquarius” will soon begin, (remember Saturn dipped a toe into Aquarius earlier this year between later March and July!). Our two chronocrats will play back and forth in this sign for approximately one year, off and on.

Aquarius is the sign of the human being, representing humanity at large, in all its glory. This is why Aquarius is represented by a human being (or angel), bearing water, and pouring out this water freely to all of thirsting humankind.

Philanthropy, imagination, future vision, genius, high ideals, free thinking, surprise directions, scientific invention, electricity-computer culture, collective social movements, gender, age and racial equality; but also, impersonalness, unbending mindsets, excessive e-world involvement, lack of realism, and cool dispassion are a few of Aquarius’ more infamous qualities. Although an “enlightened” sign, obviously Aquarius has its faults, as well as some surprisingly hopeful virtues, so inspiring to mankind!  (Please note - we are not talking about individual people, i.e. you brilliant Aquarians out there, but only the sign’s general collective influence.

Hey folks, in our enthusiasm for our species (and our computers), let’s remember the animals and trees too! And, in our engagement of collective causes, let’s not forget to ask questions, study multiple viewpoints, listen,, and invent new solutions (the Aquarian forte!). Let’s remain “human”….in our increased mental-digital life; let’s balance with play, affection, music, heart, fun with mental-verbal activities! Let’s explain this last more thoroughly.

Aquarius is the polar opposite of Leo. These two signs work in tandem, toggling back and forth. Aquarius represents the tide of evolvement of homo sapiens at large, collective issues; thus emphasizing, high ideals and thought power above individual desires, egos, personal charisma and personal power.                             Conversely, Leo represents the creative and physical prowess, heart, love, warmth, athletics, ego, personal love, strength and will power of the individual person. Leo signifies monarchs, centralized power, idols, stars and entrepreneurs. Strangely, both signs are uncommonly prominent in the charts of Hollywood producers and Presidents! However, each side of the teeter-totter can turn bad when unbalanced by the other.

What about the medical influence of the upcoming new “Aquarian Year”?Aquarius governs the blood’s venous circulation, the lower leg and ankle, and has a strong influence over the spinal nerves and the little known electrical system of the body. Aquarius (with Gemini) also reigns over the oxygenation of the blood and bodily cells. Also, as a Saturn-ruled, mid Winter sign, Aquarius is depression prone (via light, vitamin, mineral and oxygen deprivation.) Without going into exceptional detail, it would behoove medical practitioners to enhance. their knowledge of these body systems and psychological states, and understand their effective remediation.

I’ve highlighted “January 19th-20th, 2021” for scores of clients for two years now, as the true beginning of a “new contract for mankind” without realizing what day this actually was on America’s calendar! Shockingly, it appears as though a distinctly new period for mankind is precisely coincident with America’s inaugural date. Let us hope the best of Aquarius is in store for the world. For this, we need the balance of the living heart, (opposite sign Leo.)

Please note that I don’t consider myself as a predicting astrologer and have stayed out of the political fray. However, the sky clock transit method is so easy and effective that it requires no special genius at all to see how well it can work!

            * Feel free to mentally insert the gender pronouns of your choice for the planets and Lights as described in this article. However, if quoting, please contact the author should you wish to make changes.

THE DONKEY AND THE ELEPHANT GAME

Last election I introduced a fun astrological “game”. The problem with this silly game is how well it works! The donkey, as famous mascot for the Democratic party is governed by the planet Saturn (because Saturn rules donkeys, and boney beasts of burden). The elephant is the chosen emblem of the Republican party. The portly elephant is traditionally governed by that great, fat planet, Jupiter.

The game: On the date of the election, simply check to see if either Saturn or Jupiter is most dignified, and/or receives the most support from other planets, particularly this planet’s personal “friends”. Saturn’s friends are Venus and Mercury. Jupiter’s friends are Mars and the Sun.

On November 3rd, 2020, Jupiter was not only in his* Fall (Capricorn), but conjunct Saturn, whom rules this same sign. Jupiter was also sitting closely to a recent South Node eclipse. Thus, Jupiter is thrice debilitated.

Furthermore, both of Saturn’s friends, Venus and Mercury, were situated together in Libra, the very sign of Saturn’s exaltation, withVenus sitting pretty in her own sign Libra, (nice for women candidates!). According to tradition, when any planet is in dignity (as Saturn was in Capricorn), and is squared by another planet, also in dignity (as Venus was in Libra), this aspect is useful or helpful instead of necessarily “bad” (as traditionally is preferred for squares). This type of square is also far stronger when there is reception between the two said planets, as has occurred at this election because Venus tenants the sign of Saturn’s exaltation (a form of reception).

Do Jupiter’s friends help him? Jupiter is squared loosely by his personal friend, a soon stationing, super vivid Mars in Aries (Mars’ domicile) This situation suggests that Mars, (the singular pugilist of the planetary pantheon), will fight hard and obstinately on behalf of Jupiter, but is himself is opposed by Venus in the sign of justice (Libra). Mars and Venus will themselves come to an exact opposition shortly, but my point here is the game, not future prediction.

All told, the donkey bested the elephant on election day in America.

“This not being pleasing, and less profitable to me, I consulted with my two brothers, Dr. Reason and Dr. Experience, and took a voyage to visit my mother Nature, by whose advice, together with the help of Dr. Diligence, I at last obtained my desire; and, being warned by Mr. Honesty, a stranger in our days, to publish it to the world, I have done it.”

ASTRO-MEDICAL MUSINGS
(penned in September)
Many of us are surrounded by smoke as I write this (unable to leave the house). Rather than focus on disturbing transits, what about sweet Venus in Leo? She remains in this sign until approximately October 2nd, depending on your earthly locale. How might this influence health?
Leo governs Body Zone 5: heart, aorta, mid back, spinal sheaths, wrists. The relaxing Indigo Ray of Venus is hypothetically palliative to “hot” heart conditions, e.g. rapid heart beat, hypertension and some types of arrhythmia. However, her coddling nature would potentially potentize conditions related to a lazy heart, weak heart muscle, fluidic congestion of the pericardium, or poorly functioning heart valves. It would be interesting to note her influence in these cases. In this manner, one can see that planetary influence is dependent on precisely what condition is being influenced!
Traditionally, antipathetic measures would be considered (astringents, stimulants, diuretics, tonics et al, specific to the organ and symptom involved.)

BOOK
Please alert your health practitioner friends and colleagues who are curious about medical astrology that “their” layman’s guide is now available!        MARS’ INGRESS into ARIES

Oh yes, “he” is here for a long stay in his home sign - all the way until approximately January 6th (depending on where you are located on Earth). Traditionally, what might be the medical influence of this long transit?

Literally, Mars in Aries would be seen as bringing “hot head”, i.e. increased “astral”dry heat to the head, brain and eyes.

INTERPRETING ECLIPSES BY NODAL POLARITY (IN CONJUNCTION WITH NATAL PLANETS). Judith Hill

2:30-3:45 PDT. https://www.norwac.net/schedule/

Lecture Description:

A transit eclipse occurs conjunct a natal planet. This is a big deal! However, the correct interpretation of this stellar event depends entirely on its true “polarity”, as designated by the North and South Lunar Nodes, the proverbial “Dragon’s Head”, and “Dragon’s Tail”. First, who and what does the eclipsed planet signify in your personal life? What are its mental, emotional, medical or vocational implications? Noting “which end is up”, (literally, Heads or Tails), is imperative to correct evaluation!

SEDNA, ERIS, AND THE “NAME GAME”

© Judith Hill, 2020

On November 14th, 2003, a distant planetoid was discovered in the far reaches of our solar system by Michael E. Brown, David Rabinowitz and Chad Trujillo.

Astrologers and their readers are eager, if not impatient, to assess the astrological meaning of this tiny, remote object. Does it influence us? How?

Should we take a “wait and see” approach, patiently comparing notes for a few decades, old school style? Or, do we allow a few accepted authorities to declare its meaning for us, sans a decent period for collective observation and definitive research?

The current fashion in determining influences of new celestial bodies, is to extrapolate concepts from its assigned name’s mythological associations. And then, blithely accept (for now and posterity), the personal hypothesis of one or more writers’ interpretations of those associations.

With the advent of social media, this process occurs with lightning speed. Already, we have books in print providing definitive interpretive meanings of most newly discovered celestial objects!

I call this method of determining planetary influence “The Name Game”. Does this method really work? Well, that is exactly my question here, and I will attempt to answer this later in this article. But first, let’s put Sedna’s associated story under glass, and watch this Name Game unfold. Please forgive any incorrect retelling here of the respected Inuit story. This is how I heard it. The point here is less the story itself, but what we as astrologers do with the many themes of this fascinating tale, in determining planet Sedna’s astrological impacts. Here we go...
